The Hive, Widnes
IC-e was appointed in 2007 to assist Widnes Regeneration, a development partnership of Halton Borough Council and St. Modwen Properties, to promote the accommodation at a new leisure complex in Widnes Waterfront.
IC-e developed the literature and marketing materials with St. Modwen and property agent, Cheetham Mortimer, to promote the scheme to would-be tenants. Despite the overall market conditions tenants were secured for all the accommodation prior to the development being completed.
The Hive now boasts a fantastic new multiplex cinema, a state of the art bowling centre, a major new ice rink, a new hotel and several restaurants.
The scheme has been a great success and will bring a new level of family entertainment for residents of Widnes and Runcorn.
The final stage of the marketing has been the development of The Hive website. This acts as a general information site for visitors and is supported with a Facebook and Twitter presence.
