ASK campaign for NHS

If you really want a good campaign – just ask!

IC-e was asked by the Greater Manchester Public Health Network to create a campaign that encouraged hot food retailers to keep salt off the tables and to make customers aware of the need to be careful about how much salt they were eating.

A pack was produced for the retailers that contained the campaign information, with tent cards.  The retailers were asked to replace the salt shakers on the tables with the tent cards thereby removing the temptation to add salt without thinking. Leaflets and posters told customer about the issues related to over consumption of salt.

The tent cards told customers that if they really wanted salt to ask. The campaigns primary goal was to get the health message across and challenge peoples habits rather than removing the option to have salt. The striking yet friendly colour and the positive approach proved very successful and the campaign was taken up by many restaurants and cafes throughout the Greater Manchester region.
